About Tube Spew

I am spending at least an hour every day watching all this user created videos. The least that i can do is talk about my experiences. User created video is really exciting because it is so long tail. So much potential. Think about it, every type of video that you consume today could probably be done better by some individual somewhere working on their own without a mega-media organization thing lurking in the background with an agenda. That's exciting. Like many people i do believe in the vision of highly specialized,localized video content, created so cheaply that every street, every block, every organization, basically every communal unit will have some type of user created video content complementing traditional video content. Now that's exciting because 97% of all the stuff on TV is not created specifically for me or by anybody that i know. I would gladly replace TV news with a news show done by my neighbor because it would be more relevant to me. I know that i would watch shows, webisodes made by anyone that i could call on the phone.
